I am committed to telling the story of family, agriculture, and hope.

I use my Canon to give others a fresh perspective on the Flint Hills, ranching, and an overall new outlook of the state of Kansas, “the Bread Basket of America.” I typically capture landscapes, livestock, and people working together to make a living. There is no place like home, rolling hills, cattle turned out to pasture with luscious prairie grasses, and a strong community.

Through this work, I seek to shed light on small family farms like mine, and the dangers of losing those very operations. My worst fear is to lose the farm that my father and his father before him, worked diligently to build and maintain. Conservation is also vital to farming, some of the very last native prairie grasses are in the Flint Hills. Once the prairie grasses are extinct, they can never be brought back. Not every life lesson can be taught in school and must be attained on the job through losses, hard work, and empathy.
